Tapestry Art's "Break the Bank" fundraiser was held Saturday evening, March 9, at the Banker's Club in downtown San Jose. A silent and live auction, along with a full array of gambling opportunities created a festive occasion for all. And if you didn't win, or get a chance to bid, there was also all that great food! The centerpiece of the entrance area was the fabulous ice sculpture with the new Tapestry Arts Logo! (It was really cool). |

Tapestry Arts has a new look! Formerly Tapestry N Talent, and then Tapestry Arts Festival, the new organization is now called Tapestry Arts to reflect the many fundraising activities in addition to the Festival on Labor Day, August 31 to September 2nd, 2002. The new Tapestry Arts logo will appear on all branding and identifying material as well as signage, advertising and promotional material. City College of San Francisco The San Francisco MUNI line as well as the BART stations will be sporting a new campaign, "Education: THe Gift for Life." for the City College of San Francisco spring semester. The campaign run will begin mid-December and run through February of 2002. The campaign will also run in movie theaters and local San Francisco newspapers. Mary Jean Koontz, president of Pacific Creations, and Steve Yamaguma, president of Yamaguma & Associates/Design 2 Market (YAD2M) welcomed over two dozen IT executives from Japan at the JETRO IBI Incubator last month. The participating companies are looking to create a Silicon Valley presence with an initial office in the Incubator. As a primer to doing business here in the Valley, a workshop was presented by Pacific Creations and YAD2M to give the executives an overview of the Valley, trends, resources, and what is needed to conduct business here. The
Japan Economic Trade Organization, JETRO, opened its newest business
incubator located at the International Business Incubator in downtown
San Jose last November. The incubator is focused on helping Japanese,
Information Technology companies launch their Silicon Valley offices. JETRO
